Wow! Another year has come and gone, and with every New Year brings new or the same old resolutions or self promises. I'm no different then most, I've made a few self promises, and I really hope to stay the course in 2011. I usually don't make resolutions, cause I don't like feeling that I have to make one just cause it's a New Year. So, I would just make promises to myself throughout the year.
Self Promise #1 Exercise more! I wouldn't mind shedding a few pounds! I still fit all of my clothing, but the jeans are fitting a little tighter now a days.
Self Promise #2 Stress Less! Hmmmm, maybe this should be #1 They say that stress causes cortisol and that causes you to put on extra pounds, especially around the belly area! :(
Self Promise #3 Live,Laugh and Love More! I believe that these Three L's are very important to happiness. And is there anyone out there who doesn't want to be happy?!
Live: Do something that makes you feel alive! Do something that reminds you of your childhood, play with reckless abandonment and jump outside of your comfort box!
Laugh: Laughing sends good vibrations not only through you but through the surrounding area around you. Go to a comedy club, watch some funny movies, shows or just hang out with a group of friends.
Love: Spend time with those that you care about. Show them that you care! Touching is our first language of love, we learned it as infants but growing up we don't do as much of it. Hugs can instantly show a person that you care and that you love them and emotionally support them.
Self Promise #4 Keep in Touch! Life can get very hectic, and sometimes those we care about and love can get placed on the back burner. We don't always notice, until days, months and sometimes even years have past. So, it's important to keep relationships of all kinds on a positive note.
Self Promise #5 Write Down Goals and Just Do It! Goals, are very important and completing them are even more important! So, this year make some short term goals that you know you can pull off! I've learned that a steady pace will get you to your final goal, with energy to spare as oppose to a jumping out the blocks full blast, when your running a marathon!
Here's to a Happy New Year to all, and keeping those resolutions!
